Sheillah Abaho is an ethics and human-rights professional and co-founder at SHE TALKs-UG: a platform for young women that advocates for Women’s rights as well as addressing gender-based injustices in Uganda. She is a lover of literature, particularly poetry.

Her writing is informed by her personal and professional life working and living in a predominantly paternalistic society.

She has been involved in running several literary events in Uganda such as the Writivism Festival, the Kampala Writers’ Retreat, and the Babishai Poetry Festival. She has also contributed short prose and poetry to several publications on the continent.
